2024 Season

The 2024 season is nearly here, so it’s time to dust off your rackets and join us on court!

Memberships

Memberships for the upcoming year are due by March 31st, and you can buy yours using the links below. If you have any problems signing up, please let us know and we can help you out. Prices for the upcoming season are:

• Adult: £120.00 (available in 4 x £30 payments)
• Senior: £100.00 (age 65+)
• Junior: £30.00 (see more details below)
• Student: £40.00 (Aged 25 or under in full time education)
• New Adult: £65.00
• Family: £270.00 (2 adults and up to 3 children)
• Social: £20.00 (see more details below)

Junior Membership

For just £30, junior members are entitled to:

• £2 per month off DT Tennis Coaching Fees (saving up to £24 a year)
• A MWLTC T-Shirt
• Entry to junior tournaments at the club

As well as this, all junior members aged 12 and under can play with an adult guest for free at anytime!

There is plenty of junior equipment available at the club, if you you want to use any just contact either Dave or Tom and they can help you to access this!

Once you have signed your child up as a member, the tennis club will be in touch to arrange their MWLTC T-Shirt.

Family Membership

This year, we are also offering a family membership. This is suitable for families where the parents are also interested in playing tennis themselves. A family membership costs £270 and includes 2 adults and up to 3 juniors. For a family of two parents and three children, this comes to a £60 saving!

Social Membership

You don’t have to play tennis to be welcome at our club. Anyone can now be a social member for just £20. We will keep you up to date of all news and developments at the club and send invites to all our social events where you will be able to come along and join us.

2024 Club Championships

All members are invited to take part in our annual club championships. There are the following tournaments available to enter:

• Men’s Singles
• Ladies Singles
• Men’s Doubles
• Ladies Doubles
• Mixed Doubles

Entering the championships is a great way of prolonging the season and giving yourself extra matches once the league season has finished. The entry fee is £5 per tournament, and the only condition is that you must be available to play on finals day which is Sunday 8th September.

2024 Club Tournaments

There will be four Sunday tournaments held by the club during the season this year which members are eligible to enter. The dates for these are:

• Sunday 19th May: Carl Temperton & Ernie Foster Cup
• Sunday 23rd June: RB Massey Cup
• Sunday 7th July: Wimbledon Social Event
• Sunday 11th August: Colin Dyson Cup

Entry for these tournaments will be £5, and details on how to enter will be communicated closer to the time. 

Driffield League

Team practices for the Driffield League will begin on Tuesday 2nd April (Mixed), Wednesday 3rd April (Ladies) and Thursday 4th April (Men). If you are interested in playing for any of the teams, please come down to the practice evenings and speak to the captains about which teams you are available to play for.

Please be aware that you need to be a member to play in the teams.

Ball money for matches this year has remained at £5.

Social Tennis

As well as the matches, we also offer two different designated time slots for you to come to the club and have a game with others without needing to organise anyone to play with!

Monday Social Tennis

Monday social tennis will be starting on Monday 29th April this year. A reminder of social tennis:

• Every Monday
• 7pm onwards
• Free to all
• Equipment provided

If you’re fancying a game, just turn up and give it a go! You don’t need to tell anyone in advance, so no commitment is required.

Sunday Club Afternoon

Starting from Sunday 31st March, our fun Sunday club afternoon will be resuming. Similar to a Monday evening social tennis, this is another dedicated time where you can just turn up and play if you fancy it!

• Every Sunday
• 1600-1800
• Free for members
• £5 for non-members

Court Bookings

You can book a court using the Clubspark booking system. Please ensure you do this before coming to the club to ensure there is a court available for you. All courts are free for members at all times. For non-members, there is a £5 per 30 minute charge for bookings.
